Vaillant en una de las pocas empresas de calefacción, que por lo menos en la industria de las calderas, sigue apostando por si misma, no le ha ido mal e insiste en ese camino.
Casi todas las piezas Vaillant, son Vaillant. Es digno de admirar las empresas técnicas donde aún dominen los técnicos. En cuanto el poder pase a manos de los comerciales lo notaremos, ¡se impondrá la mediocridad!
Vaillant, ha sabido aprovechar el reducido espacio de las nuevas calderas para introducir un acumulador. Los micro acumuladores sirven para dar un primer servicio al cliente en cuanto abre el grifo del agua. De esa forma las calderas Vaillant cambian el concepto que teníamos de que las calderas con acumulador debían ser enormes.
Aunque para ser justo con la verdad hay que reconocer que las viejas calderas Vaillant ya venían con microacumuladores, sin aislante, pero muy funcionales
Otra de las ventajas de las nuevas calderas Vaillant son la inserción de sistemas modulantes, como el quemador, que permite un aprovechamiento máximo, muy buena eficiencia energética, con una baja emisión NOx y CO. Por ejemplo, el rango de modulación de las calderas aguaBLOCK 28, es de 37% del 100%, un ahorro considerable y ecológico. La modulación no va a saltos, se hace de manera continua y automática en función de la temperatura del agua que valla entrando
El otro elemento novedoso en las calderas Vaillant es el ventilador, gracias a su modulación se optimiza mejor el rendimiento del quemador, perimiendo un mejor funcionamiento de toda la caldera en conjunto. Amén de que el ventilador de las calderas vaillant hacen una premezcla aire-gas, antes de entrar en combustión.

Con la adquisición de un 72,56% de las acciones de la principal empresa turca especializada en calefacción y aire acondicionado - Türk DemirDöküm Fabrikalari A.S. (DemirDöküm) -, el Grupo Vaillant planea comprar la mayor parte de las acciones de la empresa.
Actualmente el mayor accionista es el Grupo Koç, que va a vender todas sus acciones al Grupo Vaillant. Recientemente fue firmado un contrato de transacción entre ambas empresas familiares, con un precio de compra de 211,1 millones de euros. Un 21,76% de las acciones de DemirDöküm están cotizadas en la Bolsa de Istambul y un 5,68% pertenecen a Taylan Holding. Según la nota de prensa de la empresa, el Vaillant Group hará una oferta pública para los restantes 27,44% de las acciones de DemirDöküm.
Con la adquisición de esta famosa empresa turca, el Grupo Vaillant, uno de los líderes de mercado y tecnológicos del mundo, va a expandir aún más su actividad principal en el sector de la calefacción, ventilación y aire acondicionado. El Director General del Grupo Vaillant, Claes Göransson, dijo: "El enorme éxito de DemirDöküm, una empresa en fuerte expansión, con una larga experiencia en el sector y una amplia oferta tecnológica, hacen que sea una adquisición estratégica ideal para el Grupo Vaillant. Esta adquisición nos permite continuar nuestra estrategia de crecimiento a través de la expansión geográfica, una gama de productos más amplia y el desarrollo de sinergias."
Junto con DemirDöküm, el Grupo Vaillant espera ser el principal proveedor de sistemas de calefacción, ventilación y aire acondicionado seguros, eficientes energéticamente y sostenibles medioambientalmente en Turquía. Los productos de ambas empresas van a continuar a ser vendidos bajo sus marcas reconocidas internacionalmente después de la adquisición y las organizaciones de marketing y ventas de cada empresa continuará a operar separadamente, manteniéndose también las estructuras de ventas existentes. Además de la expansión de las gamas de productos, ambas empresas van a beneficiar de una cooperación más estrecha respecto a las actividades de I&D y de los nuevos avances tecnológicos.

It is a sunny future that the Vaillant Group is preparing for: On the 30th of September, the European heating giant with headquarters in Germany has started a brand new collector factory in Nantes, in western France. Nantes is already home to one of the group’s several production plants. The capacity of the new factory is 300,000 m2 of collector area per year, according to a press release. The Vaillant Group invested around EUR 3.5 million into a production line for absorbers with a laser welding machine and an assembling line for collectors.
“The new production line in Nantes will strengthen our market position in the renewable sector,” Vaillant Group’s Managing Director, Dr. Carsten Voigtländer, said at the opening in Nantes. “In the first half of 2009, we recorded a double-digit growth in sales of solar thermal systems and heat pumps - despite the difficult economic environment."

Vaillant Group, multinacional que engloba entre otras las marcas Vaillant y Saunier Duval, ha nombrado recientemente a Nicolás Klingenberg Calvo director general del grupo para España y Portugal. Klingenberg asume así la máxima responsabilidad de una compañía a la que en su día ya prestó sus servicios dirigiendo, durante nueve años y con notable éxito, la sociedad Vaillant, S.L.
Economista y nacido en Madrid, tras haber ostentado los últimos años la dirección general en dos importantes firmas, el nuevo directivo de Vaillant Group regresa al sector de la climatización incorporándose a la compañía que lo lidera en la actualidad tanto en España como en Europa, según la nota de prensa de Vaillant Group.

02.09.2009: Vaillant has been working closely with The Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation, its development partner Shepherds Bush Housing Association and Sandwood Design and Build Ltd on the sustainable redevelopment of 18 flats for ex-servicemen, part of the Chiswick War Memorial Homes estate at Burlington Lane, Chiswick, London. 36 Vaillant solar flat plate collectors have been fitted at the project, along with 18 auroSTOR 200-litre cylinders and 18 ecoTEC plus 618 system boilers.
The flats are newly built, with six of them specifically designed for disabled use. The project is the first phase of the redevelopment programme for the whole estate, as William Eastman, Mechanical Projects Manager for Sandwood Design and Build Ltd, explained: “Part one will see veterans move from their existing accommodation into the new flats. Part two will then see the homes these veterans have vacated refurbished with similar solar systems.
“The aim of the scheme is to provide affordable, good quality housing for the residents. By using Vaillant’s boilers and solar DHW systems, we have been able to reduce servicing costs while providing residents with economic and sustainable heating solutions. Vaillant’s reputation and products are both renowned throughout the industry, so they were the obvious choice for this project.”
The Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation, which was set up after the First World War to provide accommodation for ex-servicemen, works in partnership with Shepherds Bush Housing Association. The Foundation provides homes and rehabilitative support to vulnerable and disabled ex-Servicemen and women, including those who have been homeless.
A Vaillant solar DHW system can provide around 50-60% of annual domestic hot water requirements. It uses indirect solar radiation, not just direct sunlight, meaning that it will work as efficiently in the UK as it does in other countries with similar climates. Typically, the solar control system has a built-in intelligence allowing it to automatically switch from solar to conventional power when needed. Vaillant’s solar DHW system ensures hot water comfort, helps reduce fuel bills, adds value to a property and is a positive benefit to the environment because it reduces CO2 emissions

06.07.2009: With energy efficiency continuing to play a key role in the commercial market, Freeland House Nursing Home near Witney, Oxfordshire has replaced two antiquated floor standing boilers with four Vaillant ecoTEC 65kW wall-hung system boilers.
The age of the original boilers meant they were inefficient, while spare parts had become all but obsolete. Tim Curtis of Curtis and Carder Services Ltd, who installed the new Vaillant boilers, explained: “The original boilers ran on solid fuel before being converted to oil and then to gas. They were five feet tall and six feet long, taking up a great deal of space in the cellar. They were also around 40 to 50 years old and had pretty much reached the stage of being beyond repair so needed to be replaced with a more up to date energy efficient heating system.”
Tim elected to use Vaillant’s ecoTEC commercial boilers, having used the company’s domestic products during previous installations. Furthermore, due to the age of the existing system, a 260kW plate heat exchanger was used to act as a system separation device and keep the original heating circuit to an open vent circuit. New pipework was also fitted with the boilers, which allowed them to be installed above the cellar at ground floor level.
Commenting on the ecoTEC commercial boilers, Tim continued: “Vaillant has a proven track record and a renowned reputation throughout the heating industry. The ecoTEC boilers will provide Freeland House Nursing Home with a far greater level of energy efficiency, which should in turn result in lower fuel bills. If you add Vaillant’s excellent technical back-up and service support on top of this, they really do offer the ideal system solution.”
Freeland House Nursing Home is over 200 years old and accommodates 76 residents in 56 single and 10 shared rooms. It is purpose built and was registered in 1885.

08.06.2009: High Peak Community Housing Limited, part of High Peak Borough Council, is updating its social housing, with Vaillant’s ecoTEC pro 28 at the forefront of its improvements. Vaillant has provided its high efficiency condensing combi boiler for 84 homes throughout the area of Chapel-en-le-Frith, to help bring properties up to the Decent Homes standard. Gas Care UK is installing the boilers on behalf of High Peak Community Housing, having built up a strong relationship with the organisation over the last 10 years.
High Peak Community Housing Limited was set up in March 2004 by the High Peak Borough Council to manage its housing stock. High Peak Community Housing Limited manages over 4,000 properties and has nearly 160 staff, providing high standard homes, neighbourhoods and communities. As well as delivering Decent Homes, it is continuously improving service, quality and efficiency to create a sustainable future in the borough.
Frank Salisbury, contract administrator of High Peak Community Housing, explained why the properties needed an upgrade: “The improvements at Chapel-en-le-Frith are taking place in a wide range of homes, from 1950s semi-detached and terraced houses, to flats and bungalows. Most of these homes are fitted with old fire and back boiler systems, for which most of the parts have now become obsolete. As a result, we are unable to repair them, and need to upgrade to a more efficient and economical product.”
Gas Care UK has found each installation of the ecoTEC 28 to be simple and straightforward. Dave Wright, director, Gas Care UK, commented: “Vaillant has always provided very good products and the support on offer, should any problems arise, is superb. In all honesty, I can’t fault Vaillant products or services in anyway - they’re second to none.”
By 2010, the Decent Homes initiative expects 95 per cent of all social housing to meet its standard. Salisbury continued: “We have used Vaillant boilers in the past and found them to be exceptionally reliable, energy efficient products. As a result, and because of Vaillant’s high levels of service, and responsive communication channels, we have agreed to use them throughout future contracts in the High Peak Borough.”
